ground coffee house

Julie Patrick

Ground Coffee House opened it's doors to the public TODAY!

My hometown of Hilton in KZN is already wonderful but it just moved up a notch on the scale of general awesomeness. I highly recommend this new hotspot in the Midlands. It's just off the N3 highway so you can easily pop in for a quick energy boost during a road trip. For those who live in Hilton (lucky us) it's situated right opposite the Protea Hotel at 1 Cowan road.

The owner Craig Smith and his wife Kristi (pictured below) are very good friends of mine, so you may claim that I'm bias. All I'm saying is: take a look at the photos and I think you'll agree that I'm not. This place has class, style, an amazing vibe and friendly staff. The specialty beans are freshly roasted in-house so the coffee is GOOOD. There are even delicious teas for those who are not coffee fans. PLUS you can buy gourmet sandwiches, brownies, muffins and cake. There is wifi, work stations for those with laptops, and benches outside with a lovely view. I'm so excited about this place!
